Volleyball Recap: North Hills Christian Comes Up Short

If North Hills Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Summit Tamalpais last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Hills Christian fell just short of the Hercules Titans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

North Hills Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Hercules into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Despite the defeat, North Hills Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Miguel Kobe had 32 assists and one block.

North Hills Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Hercules, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

After both having extra time off, North Hills Christian and Mare Island Tech Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hercules, they will face off against Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
