Basketball Recap: Cooper City Skates Past Somerset Academy with Ease

After losing to Somerset Academy the last time they met, Cooper City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cowboys blew past the Panthers, posting a 64-28 victory.

Luka Jakopin was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Corbin Francois, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Cooper City was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Somerset Academy only posted five.

The win got Cooper City back to even at 1-1.

Cooper City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-40 victory against Piper on the 20th. As for Somerset Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Miami at 11:00 a.m. on the 29th.
