Preview: San Pasqual Valley Warriors vs. Trivium Prep Crimson Knights

San Pasqual Valley is 0-1 against Trivium Prep since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The San Pasqual Valley Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights at 7:00 p.m. San Pasqual Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, San Pasqual Valley suffered a tough 36-14 defeat at the hands of NFL Yet Academy.

San Pasqual Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alex Acuna, who rushed for 143 yards on only 14 carries, and Elias Espinoza who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Trivium Prep pushed their score all the way to 37 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Parker by a score of 39-37.

Vern Wolfley put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 176 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 268 yards and a touchdown. Wolfley was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Matthew Lee was another key contributor, picking up 113 receiving yards.

San Pasqual Valley's loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.2 points per game. Trivium Prep has not been sharp this season, as they've lost seven of their first eight matches, which leaves them at a 1-7 record this season.

San Pasqual Valley suffered a grim 44-20 defeat to Trivium Prep when the teams last played back in September of 2017. Can San Pasqual Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
