Recap: Brunswick Pirates vs. Hilton Head Island Seahawks
The Brunswick Pirates won the last time they faced the Hilton Head Island Seahawks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Brunswick enjoyed a cozy 64-47 win over Hilton Head Island.
Brunswick was led to victory by Heze Kent and Craig Battle. Kent dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Battle scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kent has scored at least 25% of Brunswick's points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Daniel, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Brunswick back to even at 1-1. As for Hilton Head Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Brunswick will head out on the road to face off against Lowndes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lowndes focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Hilton Head Island, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hampton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
