Basketball Game Preview: Berea-Midpark Titans vs. Mentor Cardinals

The Berea-Midpark Titans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Mentor Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Berea-Midpark had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 48-point drubbing they dealt Gamble Montessori on Saturday. The Titans blew past the Gators, posting an 81-33 win. The Titans not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 (when they won 86-21).

Meanwhile, Mentor took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 90-63 victory over Lorain.

Mentor's win came from a few key players Berea-Midpark will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jack Kennedy, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tony Katava, who went 8-for-17 en route to 21 points.
