The third road game was the charm for West Jefferson, as they earned their first away win of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Triad Cardinals 48-16. With the Roughriders ahead 29-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Taylor Queen and Emma Martin certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Queen posted a point and three steals, while Martin earned three points.
The victory got West Jefferson back to even at 2-2. As for Triad, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
