Volleyball Recap: Richardson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Richardson can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Martin Warriors on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Richardson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Martin work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.

Mackenzie Ratcliff paced Richardson's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ratcliff got some help from Abigail Love and her 13 assists. Brazos Allred controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Richardson's defeat dropped their record down to 23-18. As for Martin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-17 record this season.

Richardson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martin, they will take on Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
