Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodrow Wilson). Everything went their way against the Compton Tarbabes on Wednesday as Woodrow Wilson made off with a 17-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bruins with their most commanding win of the season.

Cole Mountain looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Nathaniel Parris was a standout: he scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Cade Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Woodrow Wilson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Woodrow Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. Compton is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6-1.
