Soccer Game Preview: Glades Day vs. Okeechobee

The Glades Day Gators will take on the Okeechobee Brahmans in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Glades Day turned things around against Lake Worth Christian on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Defenders a 2-0 shutout.

Blake Browder and Haley Davis scored both of Glades Day's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Okeechobee). They blew past Moore Haven 8-0 on Friday. The Brahmans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

Okeechobee used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Moore Haven. And. Kendall Rucks made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory (which was Okeechobee's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Glades Day, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
