Basketball Recap: Olivia Lybarger Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fort Wayne Canterbury

The third road contest was the charm for Heritage, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers by a score of 38-30 on Thursday. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Lybarger led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Lybarger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audra Bickel, who shot 42% from the field en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Heritage's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
