Basketball Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Skyline Coyotes

The Westwood Warriors will head out to take on the Skyline Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Westwood is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were dealt a 67-36 defeat at the hands of Dobson.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ike Tingey, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 13 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ace Lee, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Skyline played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of Mesa. The Coyotes have struggled against the Jackrabbits recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-15.

Things could have been worse for Westwood, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-27 loss to Skyline when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Westwood, Jc Ameca (who went 8 of 13 en route to 22 points and eight boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
