Meeker proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 32) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by Plateau Valley 56-55. Meeker hasn't had any issues with Plateau Valley recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

When it comes to explaining why Plateau Valley lost, don't look at Presley Hawkins. Despite the final result, she posted 21 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Hawkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Bevan, who earned 12 points and six rebounds.

Meeker's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Plateau Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
