After flying high against Valley last Thursday, Pinecrest Academy Cadence came back down to earth. The Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars fell victim to a tough 15-7 defeat at the hands of the Durango Trailblazers on Monday.
Aliyah Kolish stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Vaite?a Yadao was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
On Durango's side, Leiah Biscocho and Juliana Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Biscocho scored five runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5, while Martinez went 4-for-5 with a home run, four runs, and five RBI.
