Basketball Game Preview: Academe of the Oaks Firebirds vs. Hills Academy Knights

Academe of the Oaks is 0-5 against Hills Academy since November of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Firebirds will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Academe of the Oaks humbled The New School with a 49-22 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academe of the Oaks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Judah Huckaby, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Williams, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.

Meanwhile, Hills Academy put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past New Creation Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 84-70.

Hills Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Academe of the Oaks, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Academe of the Oaks took a serious blow against Hills Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 69-12. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Firebirds were down 46-5.
