Recap: Pinole Valley Spartans vs. St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins
The Pinole Valley Spartans won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 94-49 loss at the hands of St. Patrick-St. Vincent. Pinole Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-24.
Pinole Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chriseanie Nealy, who scored 17 points along with two steals, and Jaylonnie Johnson who scored 14 points. Nealy has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Romyn Waugh, who scored seven points.
Pinole Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.
Pinole Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they will take on Salesian College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Patrick-St. Vincent is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
