Basketball Recap: Clermont Northeastern's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clermont Northeastern extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Connor Yeager. The Clermont Northeastern Rockets secured a 59-54 W over the Georgetown G-Men on Thursday thanks in part to Yeager, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 23 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 26 games he's played dating back to last season.

Clermont Northeastern has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Georgetown, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Clermont Northeastern will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Williamsburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Georgetown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fayetteville-Perry at 3:30 p.m. on December 27th.
