Basketball Recap: Woodson's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

Woodson fought the good fight in their overtime game against Battlefield on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (64), the Cavaliers still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Woodson lost, don't look at Stephen Mayernik. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-21 to rack up 26 points and five rebounds. Aidan Pinchas was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Woodson fell to 2-1. As for Battlefield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Woodson will square off against Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Battlefield, they will face off against Gar-Field at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Red Wolves have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
