Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Lafayette

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison, Lafayette was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They beat the Hornell Red Raiders by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Lafayette's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 551st, while Hornell are ranked 40th).

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 2-5-1. As for Hornell, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-2-2.

As of now, neither Lafayette nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
