Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. Catholic Central Hilltoppers

The Heritage Christian Patriots will head out to take on the Catholic Central Hilltoppers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.8 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Heritage Christian came up short against Madison West and fell 92-79.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Eddie Riebe, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Seroyer, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 100-41, which was the final score in Catholic Central's tilt against Racine Lutheran on Saturday. The game marked the Hilltoppers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Catholic Central dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Everything came up roses for Heritage Christian against Catholic Central in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 106-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
