Flag Football Recap: Cherokee Christian Comes Up Short

Cherokee Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 20-13 to the Praise Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-6 defeat on Thursday.

Cherokee Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Praise Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee Christian will host Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Saints' defense has only allowed six points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Praise Academy, they will welcome Lafayette Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lions 14, the Cougars 4.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
