Soccer Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Northwest Whitfield Bruins. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Bruins are ranked 33rd).

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Northwest Whitfield, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland will square off against Hiram at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Whitfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
