Volleyball Game Preview: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Santa Ana Valley Falcons

Magnolia hasn't had much luck against Santa Ana Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sentinels are taking a road trip to challenge the Falcons at 6:00 p.m.

Magnolia lost 3-0 to El Modena on Friday.

While Magnolia was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into El Modena's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-11, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Santa Ana Valley entered their tilt with Los Amigos on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lobos.

Santa Ana Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.

Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-24-1. As for Santa Ana Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Magnolia came up short against Santa Ana Valley in their previous matchup back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Sentinels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
