Volleyball Recap: Trinity Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Trinity Academy had won five straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 22-5 to make it six. They came out on top against the Cheney Cardinals by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Trinity Academy's offense was headlined by Jordyn Whitfield and Gracie Liggett, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Barrett and her 13 assists.

As for Cheney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 21-11 Conway Springs (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.6% over those games).

When it comes to explaining why Cheney lost, don't look at Kenadi Thome. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and one assist.

Trinity Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Conway Springs on the 14th. Cheney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
