Oglethorpe County extended their winning streak to 15 on Saturday, bumping them up to 27-8. Everything went their way against the Providence Christian Academy Storm as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Storm back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.
Leanna Newton paced Oglethorpe County's offense, picking up 20 kills. Newton got some help from Naomi McPeake and her 35 assists. Alexis Fleming controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
As for Providence Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 34-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since August 20, 2024.
