Oglethorpe County extended their winning streak to 15 on Saturday, bumping them up to 27-8. Everything went their way against the Providence Christian Academy Storm as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Storm back in August, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Leanna Newton paced Oglethorpe County's offense, picking up 20 kills. Newton got some help from Naomi McPeake and her 35 assists. Alexis Fleming controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

As for Providence Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 34-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since August 20, 2024.

Loss or not, Providence Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Sydney Cook and Emmy Moody. Cook had 26 assists and four digs, while Moody had 12 digs and two aces. Cook is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 22 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Oglethorpe County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Prince Avenue Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
