Volleyball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville suffered their biggest defeat since April 22, 2025 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Elder Panthers, falling 3-0. The Elks have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Centerville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.

Sean Chaudhuri paced Centerville's offense, picking up nine kills. Chaudhuri got some help from Caden Peterson and his 18 assists.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Elder, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Centerville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Northmont on the 9th. As for Elder, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against La Salle on the 10th.
