Volleyball Recap: Chase County Longhorns vs. Gering Bulldogs

Chase County won the last time they faced Gering, and things went their way on Saturday too. The Chase County Longhorns came out on top against the Gering Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

While Chase County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Leading Chase County to victory were Dylan Heermann and Ava Mcnair. Heermann had seven digs and two aces, while Mcnair had six digs.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aubrey Anderson, who had six digs, a kill, and 15 assists. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Todd, who had five digs, two aces, and a kill.

Chase County's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Gering, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Chase County has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Stevens on the 5th. As for Gering, they will face off against Wheatland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
