Soccer Game Preview: Baker County vs. Duval Charter

The Baker County Wildcats will head out to take on the Duval Charter Panthers at 7:20 p.m. on Friday. Baker County will be strutting in after a win while Duval Charter will be coming in after a loss.

While Baker County fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. They never let Hilliard get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Thursday. Baker County haven't had any issues with Hilliard recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Baker County hit Hilliard with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Haddon Rowland (2), Payton Smith (2), and Jake Manolo.

Meanwhile, Duval Charter fell victim to Ponte Vedra and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Sharks, falling 8-0.

Baker County might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Duval Charter when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
