Arroyo lost against South El Monte back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arroyo Knights took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South El Monte Eagles. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South El Monte to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Lopez, who posted 15 points. Tony Aguilar was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Arroyo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for South El Monte, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

Arroyo has already played their next contest (against Rosemead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South El Monte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-47 win against Mountain View on the 20th.
