Recap: Lincoln Trojans vs. Gadsden County Jaguars

The Lincoln Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 35 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 65-22 victory over Gadsden County on the road. That looming 65-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lincoln yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamiya Brown, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. Jamesia Smith was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

The win was the fourth in a row for Lincoln, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Gadsden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Leon at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Leon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Gadsden County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. North Florida Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
