Basketball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through an 81-13 loss at the hands of the Mifflin County Huskies.

Mifflin County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Bender led the charge by putting up eight points and eight assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Hartzler, who made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points.

Mifflin County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Sayre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-17 loss against Montoursville on the 6th. As for Mifflin County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-60 win against Mifflinburg on the 6th.
