Acadiana extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-3. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Carencro Bears. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

As for Carencro, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Carencro saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carson Gurzi threw for 244 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.

Acadiana will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
