Volleyball Recap: Stoughton Comes Up Short

Stoughton lost against Canton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Black Knights came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Stoughton ultimately came up short, they really made Canton work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-14, 25-23.

Imani Ashu paced Stoughton's offense, picking up ten kills. Ashu got some help from Ayla Huang and her 13 assists. Player #31 controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Stoughton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Stoughton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Oliver Ames on the 21st. As for Canton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Mansfield on the 22nd.
