There's no place like home for Belmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons on Monday as they made off with a 17-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Belmont got a massive performance out of Elsie Lakin-Shultz, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-4. Lakin-Shultz also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Amelia Ormond was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 5-for-5.

Belmont's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belmont will host Arlington at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Marauders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spy Ponders have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they will take on Newton South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
