It's playoff time, and DeWitt had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 70-26 win over the Fenton Tigers. Considering the Panthers have won nine games by more than 43 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

DeWitt was led to victory by Traverse Moore and Channing Ridley. Moore rushed for 186 yards and two scores on only 15 carries, while Ridley gained 185 total yards and three touchdowns. Ridley's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jadon Bender got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: DeWitt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 523 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for DeWitt, adding 23 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ridley, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

DeWitt's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 41.1 points thus far. As for Fenton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

Looking ahead, DeWitt will take on De La Salle Collegiate at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Pilots have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. Fenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
