The Big Rapids Cardinals will square off against the Ludington Orioles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Big Rapids' offense. They came up short against Reeths-Puffer on Saturday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Big Rapids can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Reeths-Puffer are ranked 66th).

Meanwhile, Ludington kept a clean sheet against Shelby on Wednesday. They blew past the Tigers 4-0. Considering Ludington have won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ludington pushed their record up to 11-7-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. As for Big Rapids, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-2.
