Recap: Racine Park Panthers vs. Indian Trail Hawks
If the Racine Park Panthers were feeling good off their 54-14 takedown of the Racine Lutheran Crusaders last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Racine Park was beaten by Indian Trail 78-44 on Tuesday. Racine Park has struggled against Indian Trail recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Racine Park's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Khreish, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Betker, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Racine Park now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Indian Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Racine Park will face off against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Indian Trail, they will head out on the road to square off against Kenosha Tremper at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kenosha Tremper will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
