The Plymouth Wildcats were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 71-65 to the Divine Child Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (64), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Plymouth lost, don't look at Zerry Rue. Despite the final result, he went 13-for-16 to rack up 32 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Bravo, who posted nine points and five boards.

Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Divine Child, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Plymouth will head out to square off against Brother Rice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Divine Child, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Catholic Central at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
