Red Bank Regional waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Lakewood Piners get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. While the Bucs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Red Bank Regional's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Lakewood, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Red Bank Regional will head out on the road to challenge Matawan Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will host New Egypt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Piners will no doubt try to take advantage of.
