Basketball Recap: Sheets Memorial Christian Comes Up Short

Sheets Memorial Christian played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the North Hills Christian Eagles 85-50. The loss continues a trend for Sheets Memorial Christian in their matchups with North Hills Christian: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Sheets Memorial Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jude Howell posted seven points and five steals. Howell is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Levi Ferguson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

It was another big night for Maverick Ball, who went 11 of 16 on his way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks for North Hills Christian. The dominant performance gave Ball a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Zachary Strickland, who scored seven points along with 15 boards and five steals.

Sheets Memorial Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for North Hills Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.
