Baseball Recap: Antlers Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Antlers faced off against Checotah on Wednesday. The Bearcats came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-2. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Antlers and nudges their season record down to 8-19. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 20-8 Metro Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 73.8% over those games). As for Checotah, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-10 record this season.

Antlers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Checotah, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Metro Christian on the 29th.
