Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Buccaneers vs. St. Mary's Dominican

West Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to St. Mary's Dominican. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9, 25-5.

St. Mary's Dominican was led to victory by Delaney Durr and Sadie Cambre. Durr had eight digs and three aces, while Cambre had eight digs and two assists. Those eight digs gave Durr a new career-high. Hayden Johnson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for St. Mary's Dominican, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
