Soccer Recap: Coral Reef Victorious

Coral Reef's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the St. Brendan Sabres. Eva Santa-Cruz had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Coral Reef got from the refs.

Coral Reef hit St. Brendan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Katelyn Frazier, Ava Gomez, and Victoria Pozo.

Coral Reef's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for St. Brendan, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.

Looking ahead, Coral Reef will look to defend their home pitch on the 1st against Ferguson at 3:30 p.m. Coral Reef will be up against Ferguson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.83 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Brendan, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against MAST Academy at 3:30 p.m. on the 2nd. MAST Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something St. Brendan surely won't give up without a fight.
