Academy of Richmond County entered their tilt with Westside on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Patriots. That's more bragging rights for the Musketeers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Academy of Richmond County was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-9.

Academy of Richmond County was led to victory by Cullen Rahimi and Caitlyn Rivers. Rahimi had eight aces, while Rivers had seven aces and one assist. That's the most aces Rivers has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Academy of Richmond County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 11 consecutive games.

Academy of Richmond County's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Westside, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coincidentally, Academy of Richmond County and Westside will both be playing Cross Creek the next time they take the court. The Patriots will host the Razorbacks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Musketeers will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
