Basketball Recap: Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors vs. Overfelt Royals
The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Overfelt by a score of 71-62. The win was some much needed relief for Yerba Buena as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Brandon Tran, who scored 39 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Tran, who scored 12 points.
Yerba Buena's victory bumped their record up to 4-18. As for Overfelt, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yerba Buena will square off against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. James Lick and the Aztec Warriors are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Overfelt, they will head out on the road to face off against the Dons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
