Volleyball Recap: Holton Comes Up Short

Holton lost against Newaygo back in September of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14.

Holton dropped their record down to 7-20 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Newaygo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-13 record this season.

Holton will head out to face off against Hesperia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newaygo, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against White Cloud on the 29th.
