Volleyball Recap: Union County Falls Short of Morgan County in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Union County can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Morgan County Bulldogs on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Sofia Foster paced Union County's offense, picking up ten kills. Foster got some help from Kamryn Brown and her 24 assists. Jordan Beavers controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Morgan County was led to victory by Camryn Scherer and Brayden Burke. Scherer had 22 digs and six aces, while Burke had nine digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Scherer a new career-high in assists (nine).

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 26-16. As for Morgan County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-12 record this season.

Union County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Pike County on the 21st.
