Basketball Recap: Lone Oak's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lone Oak came into Tuesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 54-43 win over the Prairiland Patriots on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buffaloes also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Lone Oak's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-14. As for Prairiland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Lone Oak will head out to take on Chisum at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Oak has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Prairiland, they will take on Rains at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rains will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Prairiland surely won't give up without a fight.
