Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Olympus Titans
The Alta Hawks will be playing at home against the Olympus Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 contests -- so hopefully Olympus likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Alta faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Alta enjoyed a cozy 60-41 victory over Highland. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Alta has scored all year.
Alta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ace Reiser led the charge by scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Doleac, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Brighton scored an imposing 85 points on Friday, Olympus still came out on top. Olympus walked away with a 92-85 win over Brighton. The win made it back-to-back wins for Olympus.
Alta pushed their record up to 14-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.08 points. As for Olympus, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
Alta took their victory against Olympus in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 71-51. Will Alta repeat their success, or does Olympus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
