Recap: JAG Jaguars vs. Percy Julian Phoenix
The JAG Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Percy Julian with a sharp 73-50 win on Friday. Given JAG's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Percy Julian is ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for JaMicah Adair, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of JAG's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ladarius Givan, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
JAG pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Percy Julian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11.
JAG will take on Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Percy Julian, they will head out on the road to face off against Prattville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Prattville has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
