Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Nay'myia Morgan and Ayainna Cly Lead Monument Valley to Victory

Monument Valley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Green River on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Pirates 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 25-14.

Leading Monument Valley to victory were Ayainna Cly and Nay'Myia Morgan. Cly had 13 assists and two aces, while Morgan had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Morgan a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Monument Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Monument Valley's record is now 15-7-1. As for Green River, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
